Urban Farming During COVID-19

As the winner of the #impaktWISE Pitch Awards, Louie was awarded 20,000 DKK to support the future development of Urban Farming during COVID-19. The project aims to turn idle land in the city of Manila into productive farms to support marginalized communities and give jobs to displaced workers. The jury was impressed by the outstanding quality of the business model proposal, the impact of the project on the local population and the innovative and realistic solution to help solve food insecurity.
Fruitions - from farm to soil

Fruitions is a beverage organization that helps prevent the wastage of fruits by exhausting its entire usefulness from the farm to the customer, and was awarded 5,000 DKK as one of the runner-ups in the #impaktWISE Pitch Awards. The jury appreciated the high relevance of the problems it aims to solve, the practicality of the solution, the detailed business model and the potential for scaling.

Farm2Tech was also awarded 5,000 DKK as a runner-up in the #impaktWISE Pitch Awards. The aim of the project is to empower Nigerian smallholder farmers in overcoming agricultural barriers via a technological platform that connects them to experts. The jury saw a great opportunity to create exchanges and solidify a community of stakeholders, and appreciated the opportunity to scale the solution in the future, creating a higher impact for all end-users.
